Andre Madeira is the founder of Nourish Land.

He has spent many years working with plants through propagation, grafting, and the care of edible gardens, alongside a long-standing background as a chef. These experiences shape a practical, hands-on relationship with food—how it is grown, prepared, and used.

Andre has also worked as a project coordinator on land-based and education projects, with a focus on doing the work, testing ideas, and learning through practice.

Nourish Land exists as a place for this ongoing exploration—documenting what works, what doesn’t, and how food-growing systems can be built and maintained over time.

Nourish Land exists to support practical, diverse, and resilient ways of growing food, learned directly through living systems and real places.

It approaches food growing as something that can be both functional and enjoyable—bringing together beauty, emerging technology, and hands-on gardening in ways that feel accessible rather than tedious. The focus is on rethinking how people engage with food systems, using real projects to explore approaches that are adaptable, relevant, and grounded in everyday practice.
